Professor Sabrina Strings, North Hall Chair in Black Studies, is featured in The New York Times

Please join the Department of Black Studies in welcoming Professor Sabrina Strings, the North Hall Chair in Black Studies. The Chair is part of a cluster hire that began with four endowed North Hall Chairs established as a result of Black student protest and will be expanded to include additional positions in the Division of Social Sciences. The North Hall cluster is intended to bring to campus faculty with outstanding records of achievement whose research will strengthen and expand our present scholarship on knowledge, traditions, and activism in the Black World.
